List allows you to make a bullet pointed list of things if you use [*] for the bullet points, for instance

align allows you to align things to either left, right or centre (center.)

i dont actually know what tab does.

The proposal BBCode links to a WA proposal.

The tab BBCode does this:
level 1
level 2
level 3

You can tell how much you indent the words from the left by doing [tab=How far you want to indent] and then at the end of the words [/tab]

I used 20 for level 2 and 50 for level 3.
