The ability to put boxes in boxes

My proposal: The ability to put boxes inside boxes.

Having this change would make dispatches so much better to read and more organised. Please allow me to give an example. In this (https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=826910) dispatch I would have wanted to put the amended bits in boxes (They are currently surrounded by ugly horizontal lines). In this instance, adding this change would allow for making quotes more clear and concise within boxes.

If this change is to be considered I would recommend that the moderators would only let one box be inside another, that way we don't end up with a situation with a million box tags.

I don't know how easy this is to implement, but a change like this would do a great deal for dispatch makers. My thinking is that lists can overlap and have several lists within them, boxes should operate in a similar manner, being able to put a box within a box. Unlike lists however, boxes shouldnt be able to have more than 1 box "layer" inside of another box (as previously stated).

Is there any way that this restriction could be lifted game side to at least allow one layer of boxes to go within a box? I can't see how this might affect things game side as boxes can only really be used in dispatches and fact books. Thank you.

I like this idea, but I also understand where Frisbeeteria is coming from. Certainly there must be a way to restrict the amount of boxes that can be placed inside of boxes? I also had a thought about adding the ability to add custom outlines to dispatches, like vines going around the outside of a dispatch, or stars or hearts or what not. Is that even possible?

I think this makes sense. I also like the sensible suggestion that only one box can go in a box, because otherwise that could be a mess. Sometimes, you just need to subdivide your dispatches into more than just inside a box and outside a box.

I don't know how easy that would be to code, but I would be in support of that if it was possible.

Perhaps the solution there is a new tag type ([sidebar] or something), which would behave as a float-right box with a max-width, and allow [box]es inside it.

That sounds like a wonderful way to fix that problem. I'm sure slot of people would use it. Perhaps a side bar would take up exactly a third of the page. How would you align the sidebars Violet? Or would you only have them by default on the right side?

I've implemented [sidebar] just as a testing feature -- don't use it for anything permanent yet, as it may change, or be removed.

It's like [floatright] + [box] + width-limited to a maximum of 360 pixels. This means it sits off to the right on desktop screens, but takes up the whole screen on mobile.

I realize this isn't the same as boxes-within-boxes as per the OP request, but lemme know if you find it useful.
