Thread Links In Proposals

Forgive me if there is already coding to link a proposal to a thread, but wouldn't it be easier to link to where the alleged action happened for C&C proposals? Just a thought.

I certainly can't speak for all C&C proposals, but many of them cover multiple actions (i.e. a pattern of awesomeness or terribleness) that then merit a C&C proposal being written in a nation or region's honor.

A lot of 'alleged actions' for C&Cs aren't based on forum actions though. Most defending and raiding, for instance, is done in the main game, not on the forum.

I know that, but forum links can come in handy in the case of a commendation or condemnation due to forum actions.

I believe that the current practice/precedent is to place these links within the forum thread - generally in the original post. I would not object to being able to code such things into a proposal, but I would think that the possibility of links in proposals would open up a whole new can of worms that the mods/admins would rather not have to police.

I think its better left without thread tags for proposals, because threads can be altered with edits, and thus could be nuisance to proposal writers who need concrete evidence in their resolutions.

However if you were planning to implement that, I'd recommend a [forum] tag that worked like the [thread] tag for jolt back in the day (goes to check to see if those still even work...).
