Material Design Theme?

Greetings.

I have played NationStates before as a previous nation. Over the "journey" I have met various graphical designers, some of which are material design enthusiasts. Material design has been around for a long time now and makes pages look cleaner and better.

I am just wondering if NS is in the process of developing a material design theme. If not is there a documentation guide on NS Themes so we could create our own? (That would be kinda cool)

Rift isn't even three years old, having been released in December 2014.

I really doubt they're working on a 21st-century theme.

There have been a few player-created themes over the years, and "Dark" is one that became official. The process isn't complicated; a theme is just an extra layer of CSS. There are official threads here:
