Just use your factbooks if you really wanna list your national plant, the techies aren't going to waste their time adding every single possible thing people want to add as a customizable option.

We've had hundreds of suggestions for new custom fields, including things like national anthems, lists of states / provinces, etc. Factbooks and dispatches were put in place specifically for the purpose of adding all the unique stuff that interested you about your nation. If we add new custom fields, it will serve some in-game purpose (as animals and currencies do with issues), not just idle interest.
