Hi there, I've just started using Telegrammer, and it is great! I'm using it for recruitment purposes. If I close Telegrammer and turn off my computer, will the recruitment TGs still be sending?

You've got to leave your computer on, with the application running, if you want it to keep sending.

Alternatively, you can purchase a server and put the program on it. Since the server is always on and isn't connected to your computer, it will run for as long as you pay for the server space. Of course it requires money to do so.

Heya, lad. As the other guys already explained, the Telegrammer only functions while it's running on a machine that is powered on (as is the case with all applications, by the way ;) ).

There is no RAR-file available for this application. There's jar-files of different versions of the the compiled application available, as well as zip-files and tar-files containing the uncompiled source code. You need the former.

Are you sure you have Java installed?

Yes.
When I open it here are the two files:
com
META-INF

Try a right click, 'open as' and open it with Java rather than with an archive program.

Tried it, but it opens as a command bar and then disappears.

Does it show any errors before disappearing?

Can you try opening it from the command line? Go to the folder where the jar file is in, shift+right click somewhere and select something along the lines of 'open command window here'. Then, type 'java -jar x' where 'x' is the name of the jar file (including the .jar extension) and hit enter. What output does this give you?

I've got a bit of a question. I'm a minister over in TWP, and I'm planning on sending a telegram to every new nation in TWP for involvement purposes, but the only way I can think to do this is use the new nations infinity filter, and use -region to remove the other feeders, since I can't find a way to get it to restrict to only TWP nations. However, the program is selecting nations founded up to half an hour ago in different regions as targets, and that's not really what I expected from the new filter. Your program seems to be the most user friendly out there, which is a plus (and I really don't want to do these telegrams manually), but I'm not entirely sure how I should play this game of tags. Do you have any suggestions?

Heya, Fujai. You misunderstand the region filters: the +region filter adds all residents of a region to the recipients list. The -region filter removes all residents of a region from the recipients list. Adding the new nations filter together with a +region filter results in a recipients list composed of new nations and regional residents, NOT in a recipients list composed of new nations in a specific region.

Right now, from the top off my head, the only way to make the telegrammer do via filters what you want it to do is to use the -region filter to exclude ALL other regions save for your own. This is, of course, entirely impractical.

I will think about a possible solution.

One of the updates that was announced in the recent news bulletin was some new filters that address the issue I was having, will those be included in the program?

Edit: As you said, using the +region tag and new nations tag seems to send only to TWP residents, but it doesn't send to the newest nations, although I'm unsure what the definition of "new" is for tags.

Updating the Telegrammer to support the latest additions/changes is certainly planned, though I can't make a prediction when I'll get to it.

Hello. I have some questions.

1. How do I access this Telegramming thing you made and can I access it from my cell phone?

2. I have a client key but where do I find a Secret key?

1. You download the desired version of the application from the releases and then run it.

2. Read the Simple Guide to Sending Telegrams via API for a step-by-step guide on how to set everything up.

It does everything a normal run does, save for actually sending the telegrams. It's mostly used for testing.

Thanks.

Confirm, to send telegrams I should leave the "Dry Run" check box unchecked?
