Confirmation to move out of region

Postby Mykola » Fri Feb 26, 2010 12:45 pm

Have you ever been in this situation before, on accident.

"Hmmmm, this region is quite interesting *click*.........dammit!"

That might be a situation in which you accidentally pressed the "Move [nation] to [region] today!" button.

I have done that several times, as well as some other people in my region, and when you are located in a password protected region, or have tons of WA endorsements accidentally leaving your region can be a pain in the arse to fix.

What I am suggesting to whoever handles the technical aspects of this game is that when you hit that button that says, "Move [nation] to [region] today!" another screen will come up that says "Are you sure that you wish to relocate to [region]?" You could click on "Yes" or "No".

I think that that would be a very nice safety feature to have in this game, and would certainly eliminate the accidental move from one region to another.

So is this possible?

Yes, it has happened to me in Tyrrhenia several times, and since Tyrrhenia has a password that no one but the founder knows it can take several days to be able to get the password to get back in, which is very annoying.

Just to clarify, moving out of a region doesn't instantly wipe your endorsements. That only happens if you remain out of the region for at least one daily update.

Oh, I didn't know that. The old regional delegate of Tyrrhenia did that and lost all of his, so it must have been over night, but another problem would be for a password protected region, if only a select few know the password then it might be hard to get in.

yeah... it is annoying to randomly click on the move button... but I think it would be much more annoying to have a confirmation than it would be helpful.

I've done that before when I mean to add a region to my dossier but move to it instead, I hate it when I do that.

I've almost done it, it would be especially annoying if you didn't want the region to know you had put them in a dossier.

I have a nation that keeps a ton of regions in its dossier. When I am adding more regions to this nation's dossier I frequently hit the 'Move [nation] to [region] button' as opposed to the 'Add [region] to your dossier button' so this would be of use to me.

Perhaps this could be an optional feature in our settings? I've almost done this a few times, but never actually have. I'd find it to be more annoying than helpful, but I can empathise with the others here who would like it.

When i first started NS with my first nation i attempted to raid a region but was going to put it in my mains dossier while my puppet was in it. Instead i arrived from an obvious invader region and then the target implemented a pw the next day
