I have a twitter account that is dedicated to my nation and I have been wondering if one day, NationStates would be able to let NSG players follow nations that have a Twitter account associated with them?

That's really feeding the NS addiction right there.

It's an interesting, but probably pointless idea. For one, the Twitter craze is likely to die down within a year, and fall, just like most social networks do. Two, there's an NS RSS feed for your nation - there's almost certainly a third party RSS reader that can automatically connect it to a Twitter account.

I like the idea, but with my name, I'm probably biased.

Because Myspace fell and Facebook fell a year after they got popular. Twitter has been going strong since 2006. At the beginning of 2009, they had a 1382% increase in users.

The hashtag #NSG seems sparsely used. We could use this tag to communicate NS-related events on Twitter. Not #NS because it seems to relate to the Netherlands Railways.
