Can we please turn this off? It's annoying when I'm trying to make a post on a thread, and it keeps popping up. It's maddening!

I like it, helps a lot.

I'm with TFL. Being long-winded, when I learn that one or two others have posted ahead of me, I find that something they say affects what I _had_ been about to post. It gives me a chance to amend my statements to account for what they just posted, and/or allows me to include an addenda (reducing how many posts I make).

I hadn't really known how annoying the the New Posts' thingy was, until I tried posting in NSG.

I've already added this on the big list at Neesika's request.

I'd personally like to see it as something you can turn off, or on. Its useful in some areas of the forum. Just not NSG.

When you're posting an at-length rebuttal of several points, only to find in the meantime that someone has clarified their previous post, or come up with a better argument against yours, or that someone else has already provided the explanation you were about to.

On the other paw, especially if you only have a limited time-window in which to post (because you're in your lunch-break at work, for example), this feature can make getting a post into a fast-moving thread at all verrry difficult...

Turn it into an optional feature that players can disable if they prefer, please.
