Implosion of the economy

Hello, all! So, for the longest while, my economy was a perfect 100. Then, quite literally over night, it imploded, and has remained at 0 ever since. This has been the case for months, despite all of my best efforts. What I assumed happened was my economy got sonlarge it went the way of the Soviets, but as I said nothing I do helps, no matter what stance I take. So, is this a bug of some sorts? Any tips if its not? It's mildly discouraging, at any rate. Any and all help is appreciated, and thank you in advance.

Issue #221 is notorious for crashing economies. Option 2 of #242 will also do it. Do you remember getting either of these issues about the time your economy imploded?

I think you're suffering from abolishing your tax code, given recent issues showing "combing through the new tax code for loop holes".

Abolishing your tax code != good for economy. In fact, it's disastrous

Your economy is probably actually in the negatives right now. That's why it appears stuck on 0. Keep on keeping on, and you'll eventually get out of the hole. As Enfaru said, it's just persistence.

The second option of #242 most certainly will not always do it. Maybe it only does something bad if the nation had been improperly governed before, which is to say, a democracy. My economy stayed at the top level, Frightening, without a hitch after carrying on with my dictatorial ways.

That said, I would love to know how to destroy an economy for sure. My puppet The Delusion of Victorious Autobots will never be to my satisfaction until its economy is completely and utterly destroyed.

It used to be the case that options 1 and 3 ruin your economy. The issue has since been seriously nerfed, and while those options are still bad for your economy, they are no longer instant death.

#242 will only destroy your economy if you choose option 2 (the other effects are all much milder), but I do not believe this one has been nerfed.

Note that of course this also depends on your nation's pre-existing stats. If they happen to be just right, it's possible to survive something that would ruin most other nations, though that still doesn't necessarily give you anything useful.
