In short, they're more secure and more user-friendly. I understand that Android is user-friendly, but iOS is made to work even if you're brand new to smartphones. And iOS devices have all updates available immediately, while Android updates, including security fixes, often have to go through the carrier and/or manufacturer first. Also, iOS had many features long before Android did. But we shouldn't threadjack here.

As an iOS user, I am beyond jealous. The mobile site is tedious, it would be amazing for the NS devs to come up with something for the App Store. Hell, I'd buy the app if they needed to make money to pay for the Apple costs.

I have a pretty big update in the works, I'm just waiting for instant issues to come out (so I can update the issues flow in the app at the same time). I'm also waiting to hear back on my telegrams GHR, but I'm sure the admins are busy with the new update so that might be on the back burner for a while.

Nope. You might be thinking of BlackBerry -- I think the newest OS can sideload Android apps or something.

So what are the options for iOS users? I don't know of anyone that wants to make an app for NS, let alone knows how to code an iOS app.

It isn't so much the coding as much as it's the fact that launching an app on the iOS platform is like $99 /yr. It's only a one-time payment of $25 for launching on Google Play (Android).

None that I'm aware of. The thing with iOS development is that it requires a MacBook, and devs need to pay Apple $100 a year just to be on the App Store, so that puts up a significant barrier to indie app devs.

What's new:

• Endorse other WA nations in your region
• Move to other regions, both open and password-protected
• Quote other posts and delete your own in your region's RMB
• Basic Dossier support for the Activity Feed
• Removed ads
• Bug fixes and other improvements

Feedback, suggestions and concerns are welcome.

I've updated Stately's issues flow in anticipation of what instant issues could look like, but I'll most likely be pushing out another update once that's out.

As a Regional Founder, I'm curious to know if Suppression is enabled on Stately.

While I'm here, are any other admin controls available? I'm not able to download the app at this moment (my phone is old), but when I upgrade in the next few weeks I'll consider downloading the app if I can control my region from it.

Not at the moment -- for now, you can only delete posts you made on your current region's RMB. Adding that feature is probably possible since I can get which nations have what permissions from the API. However, the API doesn't appear to support suppressed posts, so the app wouldn't know the post was suppressed in the first place. I can add that to my list of API feature requests.

If there's enough demand for those features though I could definitely prioritize them on my list.

Issues are currently broken in Stately. After playing around with the new issues flow on the site (which I love btw!), it looks like the following changes were made:

• "Dismiss all" no longer exists.
• If you have "confirm decisions" enabled, the site doesn't actually remember what your choice is -- it just shows you a intermediate page before you actually submit your decision. Refreshing the page resets this.
• Decisions are POSTed directly to the new summary page.
• The summary page contains the newest happening for that decision, any reclassifications (from government type to just changes in your freedom levels), as well as census stats that have changed.

I'll most likely push out an update to fix submitting issue decisions later tonight (Monday evening EST), which will include parts of the summary page. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Stately 1.3.2 is now live, bringing with it support for instant issues. This update also fixes a bug with logins and adding new nations to the Switch list in the old version. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

Feedback, suggestions and concerns are welcome. On a side note, kudos to [violet] and the tech team for releasing such an awesome update! I loved playing around with the new issues process as I was coding it into Stately. You guys rock!

I've got to stop reading this post- jealousy meters are dangerously high.

I have no idea how to emulate an app, even if it's possible, I would have no idea what to do.

Now I know the admins said they wouldn't make the app, but if you (OP) had a licensing deal with Mr. Barry and whichever company of his owns the NS game, I'm certain they would pay for the Apple costs. I have a strong feeling they have enough coin to do it.

However, this is just speculation, and in no way am I a representative of either parties and I am not giving any legal or business advice.This is just constructive brainstorming to help us suffering iOS users get equality among the operating systems to appreciate this masterpiece of an app.
