Creating new issues

Postby Unices » Fri Feb 05, 2010 11:20 am

When I played NS2, one of the things I found great was the ability for players to submit new issues. I didn't see anything about submitting new issues for inclusion in NS in this thread, so I'm suggesting it now.

Is there any chance for this to be included in NS? The only reason I can think of for this not to be included would be reviewing all of the issues that would be submitted to make sure they aren't too different from how issues are worded now, &c, and to check for redundant entries. But that's what regular expressions are for. ;)

Thoughts?

There's an option to submit issues once your nation reaches a population of 500 million. You can read more about the mechanics here and the specifics here.
I wish I remember who wrote:Games like Nationstates are like a big cardboard box, and there are two kinds of people in the world. The kind who look at the empty void inside the box and ask "Where the hell is it?" and the kind who jump into the box with their friends and make it into a fort, or a spaceship.

This has been a part of NS since long before NS2 began: if you look at most issues, apart from the very earliest 30 or so (which were all Max's work), each of them has an author & an editor listed at the end. Drafting can be done in the 'Got Issues?' forum, if you want other people's advice before submiting them, and submitting them becomes possible (with a button for doing so appearing on your 'Issues' screen) once your nation's population has reached a population of 500 million (which takes about 3 months from its creation).
The Confrederated Clans (and other Confrederated Bodys) of the Free Bears of Bears Armed
(includes The Ursine NorthLands) Demonym = Bear[s]; adjective = ‘Urrsish’.
Population = just under 20 million. Economy = only Thriving. Average Life expectancy = c.60 years. If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.
