National Flags and Nations name?

Postby Grays Harbor » Wed Feb 03, 2010 9:40 pm

ok, maybe I've missed an important discussion someplace, or perhaps my comp is just acting weird, but what happened to the national flags and nations name at the top of each nations page? They don't seem to be there anymore.
Everything you know about me is wrong. Or a rumor. Something like that.

Funny how when you test something, you peer all over the page, looking for anything little that might be screwed up... and you fail to notice the NAME AND FLAG OF NATIONS HAVE DISAPPEARED.

Just put in a bunch of cosmetic tweaks; lemme know if you notice anything else weird.

Its okay... I dunno, I like it, its pretty. However having the menu extended and always reachable to the side is efficient, because I'm always using the sidebar. The World Census Reports needs work, its looks a little... odd, too much positive space. Five stars for effort!

It's for mobile devices, with tiny screens; it'll look bad on regular desktops.

Although I do kinda like the RMB & Telegram page formats even in my browser.

I did test that other one, but I didn't want to sit there waiting for the timer for 10 seconds, so I made it print out the delay value instead. Then I deleted that statement and forgot to add the, you know, implementation. :)

An app is pretty unlikely, as it would cost us money, be a pain to maintain, and not do anything the mobile site can't. Hopefully we'll get a proper mobile implementation out of phpBB3, so you can easily browse the whole site (game + forum) in Safari.

Oh, my bad. To be honest it wasn't all that awful, just inefficient for us sidebar-junkies. I didn't mind the look of the RMBs either, actually, because its so much wider without the columns which make long pretitles on nation names get crunched (though it is customizable now to use pretitles).
