Founders being WA Deleget

Postby Picklepoo » Wed Jan 27, 2010 6:56 pm

I'v seen a couple regions that have there founder as the WA Deleget but the founder gets the same privlages as the deleget so why is the founder aloud to be a deleget?

Er, why not? If the members of a region want their founder representing them in the WA, why not? Being delegate isn't just about regional controls (and not all founders would enable delegate access to that anyway), its also about voting in the WA & approving proposals.

He got the most WA endorsements, so obviously people wanted them to be or they made a whole den of WA multis to endorse with. I guess the former.

Because the nation with the most endorsements is the Delegate.

More broadly, because the Founder does not have the same privileges as the Delegate. Delegates have limitations on their ejecting, banning, and passwording power in the form of Influence, while Founders do not. Likewise, Delegates may approve WA proposals and cast bloc votes, powers not granted by Founder status. It is understandable that some will seek the power of both positions.

I wish I remember who wrote:Games like Nationstates are like a big cardboard box, and there are two kinds of people in the world. The kind who look at the empty void inside the box and ask "Where the hell is it?" and the kind who jump into the box with their friends and make it into a fort, or a spaceship.

Because some regions trust their founder to represent their nations in the WA the best. And also, anyone else might abuse delegate powers, but since the founder already has those powers he won't abuse them any more than normal.

In many regions delegates don't have the power to do anything but vote anyway, they can't change WFE, banject, or password the region. So it doesn't even matter who is delegate. (Has anyone ever tried to figure out a % of regions with Delegate access turned on?)
