Regional Power

Postby CFF Mercenary Co » Tue Jun 16, 2009 4:05 pm

How does the regional power work. I have seen nations with endorsements from like 10 nations but it says they are minnows.

There's a time factor involved. A nation starts at Minnow. Time in region moves it up, but having the endorsements of others move it up quicker.

Regional power is a summation of how much influence the nations inside have. A region full of WA nations that have been around for years will have an enormous power rating. non-WA members who've just started will be comparatively weak.

Aren't the two sort related? The only _power_ that I know of is that of the WA Delegate at the WA. The more endorsements he has, the "heavier" his vote is.

Other than than, I think _in_ the region, Power and Influence is synonymous. In practice however, about the only utility for Influence is a region is:
A) The WA Delegate "spends" Influence to eject, ban, or set passwords in a region.
B) The more Influence a nation has in a region (as described by the Power label, such as "Minnow"), the more expensive it is for the Delegate to eject that nation.

Regional power doesn't have much 'use' exactly, but it does let invaders know how difficult a region will be to defeat.
