This might be in the wrong thread, but is there anyway to hide all of the F7 threads you've posted in? I'm wondering because they really clutter up the "View your posts" section.

"View your posts" is nothing but a special forum search for all topics that you've posted in. It can't be customized.

Darn. I barely post in F7 anymore, so it's really annoying trying to find the topics that are buried underneath F7 topics.

Well, if you learn to use the search feature in the upper-right corner, you can produce pages like this. That should show all topics that you've posted in, minus the F7 topics.

Just go to the Search page and set the options appropriately. They're pretty self-explanatory. Hold the Control key (on Windows) to select multiple forums from the list.

Even better. Multi-select lists work much better on mobile, so you shouldn't have any trouble with choosing which forums to search.

So I'm not sure where to ask this, but why is there no national debt calculation on a nation's stats? That seems like a useful function.

The likely answer is that the game doesn't calculate that. Remember the actual underlying game engine for NS is VERY simple.

I mean, they just added disposable income to the stats, so I don't see what would be so difficult about this.

That arguably would have been easier. It was just average income * income tax. I think in theory no NationState runs a deficit currently. I think the model increases and decreases tax to match government spending, rather then there being any assumption of deficits/surplus. So your idea would require an overhaul of how taxes are modeled. (Again, as I assume things work).

I was thinking it would be pretty easy to model it using a relationship between government size and level of taxation. My nation, for instance, is in the top 40% for largest governments, but the top 99% for tax rates. There has to be a massive deficit in there somewhere.

NationStates moderation has jurisdiction over the forums and the game. If there is gameside harassment but the origination / evidence is offsite, you can link to it or describe it. We'll then consider it as part of your report about game difficulties. Regardless of the content, we can't do anything about anything that happens offsite or in real life.

I'm not sure if we're allowed to suggest updates to the FAQ, but shouldn't this post in the FAQ (viewtopic.php?p=24300415#p24300415) remove the links to Photobucket and Tinypic in the Free Image Hosting Sites section because of Photobucket now charging for hotlinking images and Tinypic reusing image URLs? I mean you probably don't wanna direct players to host images on those sites.

I believe it uses keywords in the nation's title. If you're a Queendom or a Matriarchy (or several others), "Mother Knows Best" replaces the normal "Father Knows Best" type.

I've noticed that in the forums, there are "job descriptions" put under country's names. For example, if you look under my country's name, you'll see that it says I'm a political columnist.

What are these descriptions and how are they created, earned, and chosen?
