I would - I have lots of time I spend on NS without a good thing to do.
That being said, I’m relatively new to the game.
Though I have gathered up quite a bit of information.

Wouldn't it be better to have this thread owned by a mod? (like some other stickies) That way the mod team could make any necessary changes rather than waiting on a possibly inactive maintainer.

(I am interested unless it will take a huge amount of time - which I don't expect it does :p )

If there were a mod interested in maintaining this, and with the time to do so, I think one would already have taken over.

Mathuvan Union, I appreciate the offer, but I think you're too new to be doing this.

As for updating / maintaining this, it will certainly need a lot of time initially as it is so out of date.

I'm aware of that, I was just hoping once that was over it would not take too much.

It is incorrect to assert that Qaaolchoura's FAQ thread ceased to be useful in 2009 - Hobbes was five years off on that one - or that it was "lost with Jolt Forum," given the existence of Ermarian's archive. In 2004, Goobergunchia created a new FAQ thread which, although not posted in after 2006, appears to have survived until the end of the Jolt era.

Except for the Issues and Links bits, I believe I have caught up on the editing needed for the other posts (let me know if you see something). Those, as well as new posts for N-Day, Z-Day, Cards, Sec-Gen, Trivia, and possibly some other things are on my to-do list.

It is wrong to assert that "the numbers will be random" - they are based on Unix timestamps. If I submitted a proposal at exactly 19:00:00 UTC on April 18th 2017, that proposal's ID would be tinhampton_1492542000, because I submitted my proposal 1,492,542,000 seconds after the Unix epoch (test for yourself by clicking on my link).

Badges section is woefully out of date, though I understand that’d take some time to fix

These regions are specifically setup to allow for invasion-style gameplay. The normal influence costs for ejecting and banning nations apply for the WA delegate. However, bans expire with each update, so nations can keep coming back and trying to win the delegacy again. Passwords are also not allowed. These regions are often used as a "practice ground" for invaders and defenders.

Seems a tad dated.

Is this thread open to questions, cuz I have one:
I’ve been seeing some pretty intriguing titles where the “WA Member” is.
For example I’ve seen
- Secretariat
- General Secretariat
- Role Play Mentor
What do these mean, and how would one obtain them (and are their others)?

Those are mostly staff badges that signify they are part of staff groups:
  • Secretariat: also known as the General Secretariat, are a group made of selected players who rule of the legality of resolutions and proposals to the General Assembly, think of them kind of like the supreme court of the WA, they determine if questionable WA laws really should be laws. They also have their own page explaining themselves, you can find their page here: https://www.nationstates.net/page=gensec
  • Secretary General: is not related to the General Secretariat as they have no actual power. They were elected as part of an April Fools' event parodying presidential elections, you can read more about that here: https://www.nationstates.net/page=news/ ... index.html
  • Role Play Mentor: Pretty much what it sounds like, they are a staff group that hang out in the forums and manage and teach roleplaying.

To clarify, GenSec cannot rule on already-enacted GA resolutions (which could be called "laws"), they only determine whether GA proposals are in accordance with the GA proposal rules. And they aren't involved with the SC at all. (The mods rule on whether SC proposals are legal under the SC proposal rules)

Not within NS. Unless you have an application on your computer (which I'm assuming you play NS on) that lists all nations with specific policies, then you can't do it without going through every nation to see if they have the policies you're looking for.
