Well, refactoring doesn't seem to take into account all the factors. Like I've noted many a time before one of the few peculiar things about my nation is the following:
... hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5.813 billion Lamebrainians ...

Yet I'm #1 in the West Pacific for most stupid citizens. How can that be?
Some time ago when my nation's category was "Anarchy", I used to have the same problem this guy does at the moment, for example: zeromount. Nation description, paragraph one tells you about the glory of people being ruled by biker gangs, and then the second one tells you some weird stuff about pro-business individuals. It might've been even weirder for me, I don't remember, however, as it's been quite a while since then.
Anyhow, to cut the long story short:
somehow I've managed to get things wrong this time as well
A Corporate Bordello spending nothing at all? WUT?

Hey violet,

Can you help me understand why my nation's industry is relatively low in the recalc when compared to other nations of similar size and economy rating? It's still larger in the recalc than it is now, but I'm curious to know the discrepancy. Thanks.

My refactored stats are much, much closer to the decisions I've taken on various issues and show what I would expect to happen. I usually take the most far-left decisions in the economy and spend a lot on certain industries and defence, which was not showing up at all. This is a really good tweak.

This nation does not reflect my RL views.

I think I'm a weird corner case. Please check, because my refactored stats are very strange. But then, for some time now I've had the odd situation where I'm spending quite a bit on Healthcare (and always choose pro-Healthcare issue choices), and yet in Analysis my Public Healthcare is extremely negative. And a few other weird things like that... so this strange refactoring is probably related.

There goes my pride of having no government funding on either police or military, and still having them both be effective :(

It all comes down to issue choices regarding specific industries/industry as a whole. You can be a large nation with a Frightening economy and still have smaller industry numbers. Take Revert for example.

Okay, I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but...

My government size is increasing by 65.5%.
My industry size is increasing by 1509%.
I'm going from a government that is 6.25 times the size of my industry to one that is only 68.5% the size of my industry.
The size of my public sector is dropping from 86.6% to 43.6%.

So my industry is absolutely exploding, my public sector is shrinking, and the size of my government in relation to the size of my industry is shrinking by a fairly massive amount... yet my tax rate is rising from 24% to 56%. Shouldn't that go down? More industry and less government (in the very least by comparison to one another), what am I missing?

This change cannot happen! Ydinian's people will suffer from this horrid change in industry and even more taxes! I, Premier Jacob, am truly working for the gains of equality of all people; be you a local, foreigner, or anyone in between. The concept of welfare is idiotic, industrial growth will spoil the beautiful enviroment we have maintained, and we will suffer. Please, Mr or Mrs Violet, do not let my nation, nay, my people; suffer this growth.

On the whole I like the update. As a pro market nation I have been struggling to keep my income tax under control and 11% income tax makes more sense than 59%, which is just silly for a pro market nation

My government spending goes from fairly balanced in all areas to 100% on defence. That seems a little silly to me.

Dang it, its taking away military spending. But only a little. One of the reasons I care is because i'm in an arms race with my neighbors.

EXACTLY! I can't build infrastructure or defense forces without driving it up there. However, it still taxes me like I have 5 million when I have over 1 billion people.

Err Violet,

Just looked myself up, and not much difference from before.

Out of interest I looked up Salusa - I think HIS stats have been a bit too regiggerated perhaps? One of them is at 15% but the preview indicates it'll be cranked up to 100%!

Bug perhaps? I know Salusa is among the ancient nations but I didn't expect that big a jump...

Gone from 22% tax to just 2%. And government size has gone from 29 to 211? Also, I'm now spending nothing on defence, public transport or industry. ???
