Not sure if it's been noted but we still have a NSwiki tag (which has long since went down) but we don't gave an IIwiki tag. Maybe worth changing that? A lot of nations are using IIwiki.

Agreed that these would be useful tags. It'd help leftist regions determine at a glance if a potential embassy has decentralized government (i.e. Executive Delegate, with less involvement from the founder), for instance.

Why specifically leftist regions? Many apolitical or rightist regions have regions where the founder has very little (if any) input.

I agree with the idea of non-executive/executive tags, I'm just not following your logic of "help leftist regions" - it would help them all! :P

I'm not saying it wouldn't help non-leftist regions, but as I'm the (as much as possible, non-executive) founder of the second-largest Communist/Anarchist/Socialist GCR, I'm offering my opinion as it pertains to my experience within that community. I agree that it'd be useful for regions regardless of ideology.

Can this tag be added?

It's getting overly specific. I'm more inclined to remove 'Free Trade' entirely, as it's close enough to 'Capitalist'.

Tags are for regions, not nations. I'm also under the impression that another NSwiki now exists, hosted by Afforess.

Am I right in thinking that the 'No GA Campaigning' and 'No SC Campaigning' tags have gone, so that it's now legal to TG any delegate about such matters and up to the delegates themselves to set their 'preferences' to block those TGs if they don't want to receive them?

Following this query, I'm wondering if it's worth re-naming the various FT tags to "Future Tech: ..." so that they're easier to understand.

A little bump.

You can already see this information in the region's administration page.

Executive/Non-Executive Delegate tags would need an admin to implement.

Well yes, obviously, but if a player is looking for a region with a decentralized regional government it'd make a lot more sense to use the tags "Regional Government" and "Executive Delegate" than "Regional Government" and then go to each region's administration page to see if they've ticked the executive WA box.

Do they check this thread, or is this an idea that could be passed along to them?

Possibly add a "Constitution" tag? Lots of regions have a constitution or an equivalent document with a different name (charter, concordat, etc). It'd be nice to have if you were looking for a region that has a government which follows a constitution, rather than one that does not.

It is possible to make some tags either/or?

It's quite hilarious to have some regions with both the "SC" and "Anti-SC" tags, amongst others.

(To the contrary, they wouldn't have such passionate feelings against it if it didn't interest them.) My region is both World Assembly and Anti-World Assembly.

Seems to me that RPers searching for RP regions would already know what the initials mean.

I meant more for regions that have an IIwiki presence with many of their nations on. Also, I wasn't aware of the new NSwiki, so my apologies. But maybe we could still add IIwiki? I think it's a little unfair to have one (even if it claims direct continuance from the original) but not another equally used one.

Also, good point about getting rid of the free trade tag. It's part and parcel with capitalism anyway.

That's probably covered by the "Regional Government" tag, though. If a region has a regional government, they're more than likely to have a constitution or other founding/governing document. I'd say, anyway.

We should have a Multi-language tag similar to the Non-English tag but this for the purpose of regions who want people from many places to come to that particular region. Any thoughts?

My region encourages the use of multiple (mostly Slavic) languages, while conducting business in English. A multilingual tag would fit much better than a non-English tag.

[IDEA] Added regional tag

Postby Cerillium » Sat Nov 01, 2014 7:52 am

I could have sworn there was a 'suggestion megathread' here once upon a time.

Anyway. Region tags. Can we add one that states "all tech levels"? Would that be unnecessary or something people wouldn't think of when searching? Is there one already and I'm overlooking it?

This thread hadn't been posted in since July, so you would have had to go back a bunch of pages to find it. I just remembered the thread title, so ... yay for forum search! *waves pom poms*

It seems unnecessary - just use all the existing "xx Tech" tags.

Anything on reordering tags like embassies? Would that be a potential feature we can look forward to in the future? (It wouldn't affect the tag cloud, it would just show a region's priorities. Adds more customization).
