Some sort of LGBT/gay/queer tag would be appreciated. There may not be a lot of us but we're a pretty fabulous minority!

I can see that being subjective. While some would wear the "Gay" or "Lesbian" tag with pride, others might not want to be "tagged" as such.

As opposed to the "fascist" tag? My understanding is that Regions can decide what they'd like to self-tag in whatever way works for them.

However, I would like to amend that an LGBTA tag would make the most sense, so those regions that are open and affirming can utilize the tag as well.

LGBT is a bit of a general tag isn't it? Not everyone knows the acronym, and if we're going down the route of sexuality then people are going to demand gay, lesbian, bisexual, transexual, transgender, asexual tags.

Queer-themed is a better bet. "Queer-friendly" could be anyone. And "Gay/Lesbian" is generally a far better term than LGBTA, as the latter is quite centric to the gay/lesbian "community", whereas the former is more accessible to people outside of it.

Question to the admins: there are a number of Polar regions in NS - Arctic, Antarctica and Antarctic Oasis being the most prominent. Is there a possibility of adding a "Polar" tag, or does that just open the floodgates to an endless supply of geographical categories that's probably better avoided?

Actually, there is an asexual community. I don't think it's a particularly large one, but then again we're talking about minority communities one way or the other. And, to re-state a common joke about many subgroups of the queer community, they don't exactly multiply like rabbits. The visibility is low, for certain, but it's there.

Tagss are a great idea. Forest is an oldish region whose emphasis is environmental. Any chance of a tag along the lines of environmental, or eco-friendly, or green...?

If you can find me a few other regions this would apply to, then yes.

As for the master list. Yup, I just need to take care of some stuff first.

Yes, I found a few regions a tag like that might apply to: Hippiedom, Ecotopia, Forest and Green Federation come readily to mind. ..

Also, I prefer the term "Environmentalist" or "Green" to "Eco-friendly", a term I really dislike, because I don't think it means the same thing.

There should be tags that indicate whether the delegate position can be obtained by simply by receiving the most endorsements or if you must be elected on an off-site forum. I'm not sure what the tag words would be for those. Maybe like "Endorsed Delegate" and "Elected Delegate" or something.

I might have missed something while searching, but...what are (or where are) the definitions for these tags? I know that some of them are obvious for the most part, but there are quite a few that may have a variety of definitions. We have to make this easy for new NS players to identify and find the region that best fits their nation type.

And...I agree with one of the admins' comments about not overdoing the tags. Too many options can create additional confusion that would render them more a complication than an aid in helping to find the right region. Possibly some of the tags can be narrowed down into subtags. This would help narrow down some of the tag categories that are too general. The roleplay tag comes to mind since there are so many different rpg types...economy roleplays, military roleplays, alt history roleplays, et cetera. All things being equal, the tags are an excellent idea.

And furry reminds me of the fetish so that's probably no good. "Peaceful" makes more sense than "Peaceful roleplay", as I have no earthly idea what "peaceful roleplay" is. Not roleplaying war? Roleplaying a hippy commune where all the members join hands and sing "Get Together"? Peace summits maybe, but that would imply that the parties involved were unpeaceful at some point, deeming the tag somewhat dishonest.
