Who knows how to open a storefront and obtain the items for the store AND how to buy them? I'm new here and I'd really like to start a new and interesting storefront! I really need help with that. And also, I've never bought anything from any of the storefronts. Can someone explain to me how the process goes?

Just post a thread in RP. As long as your country has a decent economy, you'll automatically have the items you sell.

A- First off look though some of the other storefronts and read the stickies

Then:

1) Decide what items you want your nation to sell. Decide on the terms and conditions - selling only to formal allies, not selling to communitst, or democracies? Most stores advise the buyer to do their own math (this is of course all virtual money and goods )

2) Write up interesting and as informative as possible descriptions of the items, along with any options/ variables the item has. Post the price per unit.

2a) Obtain pictures or drawings of the items ( optional but really helps the look of your storefront) BUT you should limit them, sizewize, to about 400x400 pixils or they will overwhelm. If due to detailing this is not possible you can just provide links ( to the url addy that is hosting the pics)

Can you make up the things you have to sell?

I've read many storefront item information and all of them are sooooo confusing. Do I really have to type up that much information? War materials are so thickly descripted. How much time do you spend jotting down all that information? I mean seriously!

And if you make up the things you sell, do you need to make a logo and make it reasonable?

Like I love things that aren't real so if I offered a let's see... a REAL Robot command ship in the shape of a robot leopard, would that be off or would you still consider it?

First off the smilies are NOT your friend! Use then one at a time if at all!

And no I would not consider a leopard shaped robotic command ship, sorry I just wouldn't. But then again others might.

And yes the descriptions are that necessary.

Okay. Okay. I wasn't serious about the leopard robot ship. It's a little high tech, got it? I was asking a more experienced country for shop advice. He said he wouldn't recommend it and that it was way too far into technology, but he also said that some people or nations like you would take a look.

Now here are my questions:

If you take a look at this leopard ship thing, what should I put in the description? How do you buy it, and would you just make it up or something? Like can you make up items in your storefront or does it have to be in reeal life????

We're in the Technical forum. Here, you're not the 'wise leader of Socraniti', you're you, the player. Asking a technical question. Which has already been answered - your later question isn't something the Admins are going to know about. Have a look around other stores to see what sort of information is put into product descriptions.

Putting multiple smilies into your posts can be considered Spam, under the forum rules. It distracts the eye from your post. In my opinion, they're more effective when used only occasionally.

Cut out the smilie spam. Cut out the non-technical stuff in Technical. And cut out calling people rude when they were just trying to keep you out of trouble before a mod came along and yelled at you.
