[IDEA] NS App

For IPad,IPhone,Android etc. especially me. It is hard to have NS operate in my tablet, and probably for other mobile users. So I propose an idea of a NS App.

While this would be a great idea, I don't think it will work. It would take so many developers to create an NS app, that Max Barry wouldn't be able to write books. Tons of money lost for one sad little app. Let's leave this one for the private developers.

The mobile version is pretty good, just use safari or whatever is on your Iphone and get onto NS. It's pretty good.

I find NS functions perfectly for me on my iPad even without the mobile setting, I see no need for an app.

Don't use mobile, don't use an App. If you're using a half-decent tablet on the PC version of the site, it should work excellently for you. It does with me.

However, as others pointed out, there is an Android App. As for iOS? That's simply not going to happen. You firstly need a Mac to actually create the app, then you must enter the developer program that takes time, then actually code your app, and if it's free then you must pay some more for it, and then you must pay a yearly fee to stay in the Developer Program. It's costly, time-consuming! and inefficient. It simply won't happen.

Again, I suggest if you have an iPad or some other tablet, simply use the PC version of the site.

I'd love an iPhone app, but it's tougher to create than an Android, for the reasons mentioned earlier in the thread.

You don't need anything more, unless you're trying to use the forum. The forum issue could easily be solved by adding a mobile phpbb theme to the board that's tied to the mobile theme the same way that the light and dark forum themes are tied to the general light and dark themes.

The only thing that we'd really NEED is perhaps tapatalk integration. But even that isn't perfectly mandatory for phone users. (I often NS on my phone, forumside, with no issues.)
