Adding Roles To A Region, What They Are And What They Do

Roles: From Most Important To Least (All are still important)

1. Vice Founder/Leader
2. Founder's Assistant
3. The Miltarian
4. Great Protector
5. Grand Counter
6. Positive Facter
7. Warm Welcomer
8. Sports Trainer
9. Opinion Operator
10. Repairment Replacer

Roles:

1.Vice Founder/Leader: The Founder will tell this Nation to send telegrams about certain things when needed to the Region. Also, if a Founder is on Vacation Mode, then this Nation will take over.

2.Founder's Assistant: Attends to the economic and political needs of a Nation in a Region.

3.The Militarian: Helps a Region defend and raid when needed and tells them when someone will raid the Region, or whether or not to decide to raid another Region.

4.Great Protector: Tells a Region what they need to do to be protected and safe.

5.Grand Counter: Determines how strong the economy of a Region by using the website at the bottom of this page. The directions to use this are on the site. The Grand Counter will find the average income of a Region every month, telling the Positive Facter (6) to add it to the Region's National Factbook.

6.Positive Facter: Pays attention to what the Region is like and asks the Founder to add something to the Nation Factbook of the Region.

7. Warm Welcomer: Creates Welcome Telegrams and sends them to Nations who just joined.

8. Sports Trainer: Creates Tournaments or Leagues in the NS Sports Forum ONLY for his/her Region.

9. Opinion Operator: Sends a telegram to the Founder about opinions on improving the Region.

10. Repairment Replacer: If the Founder is not playing on one day, the Vice Founder/Leader will become the Founder and the Repairment Replacer will become the Vice Founder/Leader.

When ROs come out you just do what everyone else does....make a regional government and hand out privledges as they are needed

The Grand Counter would be great for seeing how your average income is doing ever month.

- It'd remove the creativity in Regional Government by a Pre-Set list
- It'd be time that could be put into Regional Officers
- Stuff like this already occurs within a region

But everything in your list with the exception of the vice founder can be implemented even without regional officers. If you think this is a good regional government plan, then no one's stopping you from creating a region and trying it out. Why should every other region in NationStates have to try it too?

Except that some regions wouldn't need or want some of these roles, or are fine with organising a regional government according to their needs. For instance, I hardly think we would need a 'Positive Facter', 'Warm Welcomer' or 'Opinion Operator'. Are you sure these are positions that regions would actually need?

As has been pointed out to you not once but several times, there is an ongoing discussion about Regional Officers. Clearly, you are excited about your list. Equally clearly, not everyone share your opinion. When our admins have a consensus they're comfortable with, and code that delivers the desired results, you'll be able to play with it like everyone else.

You're extremely new to the game. Some of us have been playing for ten years or more. We do things slowly and deliberately around here, and you need to recognize that as a fact, not an inconvenience.

In all seriousness - things like this have been proposed, and things like this have been shot down. Just the idea of Regional Officers met heavy resistance due to potential Gameplay repercussions of it. Something like what you propose is a. far too complicated, b. a pain in the ass, and c. absolutely uneccesary for the majority of regions out there. Take the advice of literally everyone on this one, alrighty?

Ballotonia, a NS Game Administrator, had removed it because changes to the game are not decided by polls. It was mentioned in the "edited" notice in your original post.
