Ok, so here’s my country

And this is what’s been happening; pretty much whenever I’m in the top 10%, 5%, 1% or even number one in the world for a ranking, it will say “Corsaria fell out of the regional Top 10% for [insert ranking category here]” in my National Happenings, and I lose my regional ranking icon for that category. This is of course impossible when I’m number one in the world for something; by definition I have to be number one in my region as well, and just now I have absolute proof of wonkiness in the form of today’s reports, to whit (bold emphasis mine):

My daily announcement:

Corsaria is ranked 1st in Katasia and 3rd in the world for Lowest Crime Rates, scoring 2,607 on the Relative Freedom From Crime Index.

Yet from my National Happenings we have this:

23 hours ago: Corsaria fell out of the regional Top 10% for Lowest Crime Rates.

And my Top 10% Lowest Crime Rates regional icon is gone.

So ahhh, yeah, something’s definitely broken here.

You only have 8 nations in your region. You need at least 10 for the top 10% trophy (and I believe it's 20 for the top 5% and 100 for top 1% & #1 in region trophies).

Ok, well, that's a pretty weird requirement, but I guess that explains it then.

It's because those percentages don't really make much sense in such small region..1% of 10 is 0.1 - it's not possible for 1 nation to be in the top 1% of a 10 nation region.

completely different topic, what doesit mean if you have -21 insults per min and the world average is -10?

It means that you are 11 points lower on the arbitrary scale NS created than the average nation. To my knowledge NS doesn't publish any sort of model information for its census reports, so the only thing you have to go off of is the world average, unless you're willing to troll through a random sample of nations looking for a model to fit the data to.

I was thinking about it and it's probably because the top 1% and #1 would be the same nation in a region of 100. If the game doesn't round the rankings, you wouldn't see a top 1% until 200. You're right.
