The Major Update has not made the Regional Newspaper section available for me for the region of the USSR. I'm unsure of the specific page number to force any attempt, so I can't continue. Should I expect to wait just a little longer, tell the next full update (so 48 full hours)?

EDIT: Yes, the option is enabled in the NS++ Settings for that page. Typing in numbers turned up no page for the USSR.

When you go to http://www.nationstates.net/page=region ... egion=ussr and select "Found Newspaper", what happens? It should work.

I still can't edit my regional newspaper. I even spent time finding my manage page, and it still doesn't work. http://www.nationstates.net/page=blank? ... spaper=212

It should be http://www.nationstates.net/page=blank? ... spaper=217

If that still does not work, and I am going to assume it does not, I am pulling down my debug server logs to investigate what is going on.

I'd like to endorse this wholeheartedly, in my 4 years here on NS, I have never had such a convenient and easy time with the site. It has made things so much more enjoyable.

It avoids them, it does not eliminate them. It tries to predict which inboxes are full. This prediction will improve as more and more regions switch to use NS++ recruiting. I can not predict for regions who do not use the NS++ recruiting method.

I'm not able to edit newspaper articles for the South Pacific's SPINN paper. It just shows up as a blank page. http://www.nationstates.net/page=blank/ ... rticles=53

You are not crazy, I changed the backend server database for newspapers, and am minutes away from an update for NS++.

Until the update, they are in read-only mode...

I will be adding better newspaper controls! :)

Feature request! When someone clicks NEW TOPIC in this forum (Technical), ask them to verify that their problem occurs with NS++ disabled before posting a site bug report.

I'm glad I check this thread regularly, :P Thanks! Also, your earlier advice (obviously) worked. I just did not know where to look. My region is excited!

This seems to be a very rare Google Chrome bug: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issu ... ?id=103281

Restarting your browser & computer seems to fix it.

Gotta hand it to you, this bug is a first.

I picked a color that is aesthetically pleasing on both light and dark themes. ;)
