I found my way onto the NS++ server and managed to restart a core service that seemed to be down but didn't change any code.

You can't, the newspaper feature was deprecated over two years ago.

Hi, this is a meme nation with a meme region, and i want to mess with the controls but i cant, i cant set anything without it saying "You are not authorized to update the regional titles"
i did find this post
viewtopic.php?p=32716595#p32721848
which tells me that it hasnt been fixed, or broke again.
or is there something else that im missing?

Some of the admin functions of regions are on timers, though I'm not sure which ones apply to founders. You may have to run a couple of updates before all features become available to you.

Is something down on N++?

It looks like nswiki.org calls the following URL to verify nation login:

$.post("https://nationstatesplusplus.net/api/nswiki/login/", "nation=" + $("#nation_name").val().toLowerCase().split(" ").join("_") + ampersand + "auth=" + encodeURIComponent($("#nation_verify_login").val().trim()) + ampersand + "password=" + password, function(data) {
console.log("Login Accepted");

instead of the core API URL: https://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/ap ... on=(Nation Name)&checksum=(code)

I have no problem verifying login using the NS API but on nswiki.org which is trying to use the api through nationstatesplusplus, it fails every time regardless of browser

I found this. You could try it.

I'm on Firefox ESR (Debian version) and I have this issue even with signing disabled.

Is there going to be an update to fix this, or is the project inactive? (The last GitHub update was 3 years ago, so I'm not super hopeful.)

I tried to use Nightly version of Mozilla Firefox and still the same error comes up.
Given the recently discovered vulnerabilities in Chrome, I'm thinking of switching to Firefox at the moment until the devs at Google get their act together, and the extension has been very useful for a user like me that has many puppets.

Hoping for an update on this. Thanks!

I have telegrammed Eluvatar again to see if the NSwiki login instrument can be fixed using this suggestion. If we do not get a response, at least you know I tried.

So, I seem to remember this used to display regional update times, and now it doesn't, and I can't find the option for it anywhere.

LibreNS++ is a pretty good alternative. I switched to Firefox from Chrome ages ago and have been using that addon for NS ever since. It has most features NS++ has except few and when I absolutely need those few missing features I just login via Chrome temporarily.
Thread for LibreNS++ viewtopic.php?f=15&t=304199
The download link in the OP of that thread is outdated, the new link can be found at viewtopic.php?p=36611195#p36611195

Sokala wrote:Firefox N++ doesn't work.

NS++ hasn't worked on Firefox for a few years now since FF requires all add-ons to be signed, which NS++ isn't and can't be, since it uses 3rd party info (the stuff taken from the NS servers) and Firefox doesn't allow apps that use 3rd party info to get signed.

I'm looking for a way to record the decisions I make on future issues. Does it do that?
If so, could you take me through how to add it exactly? I'm not great with this sort of thing.

No, I do not think that LibreNS++ does that. I am not aware of any programs that do that. You may have to record those decisions manually.

As far as I know NationStates++ isn't used for API telegrams. You'd have to use something like a Python script for that.

I mean there was an NS++ API TG feature built-in, but as Frisbeeteria told them in their duplicate thread: it's been broken for years and there are no active plans on fixing it.

Just like half the shit with NS++ lmao

I have not touched this for a very long time.

Are certain features such as newspaper creation still non-functional?

Newspaper creation isn't 'non-functional', that entire feature has been deprecated since October 2017, so it's just not supported anymore.
