I've offered to help, and had a pull request accepted on Github after a while. I'd help out again if it didn't take so long to get stuff approved and fixed.

Yep, that mentioned last commit that was just accepting someone else's work, that was your work :P

Yup. Took three months for those simple fixes to be merged.

I've offered to help with tech things via GHR. I was told it'd be passed along. Haven't heard anything from admin about it.

A revised Extension has been published.

Please share any ongoing interface problems.

It is expected that some regional flags will be broken in the embassy scroller, endorsement-related information incorrect, happenings missing from "see more" links, and similar information missing at this time. Expect to hear more about that soon (tm).

Thank you, Eluvatar for this gracious update! :)

This is greatly appreciated. Thank you for showing that NS++ hasn't been abandoned.

Glad to hear some fixes are finally being made.

Re: ongoing problems - I'll keep an eye out for various unfixed things I see, but for starters...the IRC controls are still merging into the sidebar in regional controls and blocking elements of regional officers: http://i.imgur.com/Let27Dk.png

2) Embassies under construction sometimes split and appear above the WFE as well as below it. http://i.imgur.com/42rUxgm.png (in that case, the entirety of the above is closures, but sometimes one category is split. Seems to be the first 3ish of either type appear above.)

Edit: Example with all closures where 2 splits above, one below. http://i.imgur.com/fUIEYU0.png

3) Not an interface problem, and perhaps along the lines of the other, historical data-related issues you mentions would be addressed soon, but regional record population is still showing the record as of several months ago.

4) While, yay, the NS++ user badge is no longer messing up the way all badges display (and I don't have an opinion either way whether is shows up with the top badges or the bottom ones), the spacing is smaller between it and the other badges than between the rest of the badges. http://i.imgur.com/zfNpsiz.png Note when addressing this that said smaller spacing also applies to the second added badge a handful of users have added from NS++ for contributing to it. http://i.imgur.com/MfxHm1z.png

5) Banhammer page has several visual errors. I'll take a look at functionality/calculations when I have a bit more time and people worthy of banjection, but for now - while on regular rift, there's nice lines running across the screen to the values on the right (http://i.imgur.com/Xlo6Rhe.png), there are no such lines in Dark Rift (http://i.imgur.com/BuqtXt5.png). This may be something you can fix NS++ side, or may need to be something you work with [v] or poke Northrop-Grumman about. *shrug* Oh, also, the first three entries on the list have a box, and I'm not sure what it's there for. If it has a purpose, it should have an explanation, if not, it should be gone :P

6) Similarly to badges, the added region pages (controls, recruitment and banhammer) do not space the same way the rest of those links do. http://i.imgur.com/fUQF5N7.png They space properly on either side, but cluster with each other.

...That's it for tonight, if I see more I will make a separate post instead of further editing this one.

I have received this message from my browser:

While I doubt that any of the people working on this have Evil Ulterior MotivesTM, I would appreciate it if you could explain in some detail what this means, and why you need to be able to manipulate data on multiple websites.

The multiple websites are nationstates.net, forum.nationstates.net, etc.

NS++ changed things on the forums as well but did not require permission for multiple websites. Why would it now?

It displayed a list of domains that the extension could look at when I approved the update. There were no domains outside of NationStates listed.

I think it's just the wording.

Actually I accidentally published a local change for testing purposes that let the NS++ extension apply to the beta site. I'll be undoing that... now.

No, that cannot be correct. First, those only differ in their subdomains, not their main domain, and so are part of the same website. Second, NS++ already required permissions to work on dark.nationstates.net, liberal.nationsates.net, conservative.nationstates.net, antiquity.nationstates.net, and so on.

That makes perfect sense. Thank you for the clarification.

There's a beta site?
ElBaron wrote:I dont know who made this app, But there is something wrong.

Afforess made it, but he wound up DOSed in 2014 (the death knell, I assume, was his threat to make a bruteforce password tool for regions). There are two people meant to be the keepers of NS++, Sseroffa and Eluvatar, but the former was DEAT in 2015 (I don't know if he was DOSed, I'm not that experienced to remember). Eluvatar is your go-to guy, in this case.

Close.

Spell Sseroffa backwards.

Yes the OP to this thread is a bit inaccurate, namely in regards to his current invovlement (and actual lack thereof). Otherwise, though, it's correct about it being Elu + [v].

Yes. Admins use it to try out new features and make sure they work as intended before rolling them out on the main site.

Hi, I need help for NS++ and apparently, the Help Center cannot help me. I wanted to post this article for other people with issues with NS++ so they could post their problems here too and possibly get help for it. I will post my problem below.

Cannot make myself Recruitment Officer

Hello, I am the leader AND founder of my region but I cannot make myself an officer, or anyone for that matter. I typed in "Einvolkistan" and hit "Add Officer" but nothing happened. I tried another nation in my region and nothing happened. Anyone know what's wrong? Thanks! :)

I've merged your thread into the already existing NS++ thread.

I believe he's saying he's plugged all the necessary fields into https://www.nationstates.net/page=blank ... lack_hawks, but cannot add officers or actually get a campaign running? The next poster also seems to be having an issue adding recruitment officers.

It seems like multiple people are having the issue of not being able to log into the Wiki or add recruitment officers. Maybe there's an issue?
