*IDEA* National Anthems?

Hi, I just discovered this 'game' when I searched it on google. I was immediately fascinated by the mechanics and all the jazz. I have many ideas that could benefit this game, but I feel the best idea I have is a national anthem for each nation-state, which I see wasn't implemented yet. It may be a little complicated, but I feel it would better the atmosphere of this 'game'. Personally, I would choose the Soviet Anthem, (obviously) but, say, if you were a dubstep nation you would choose dubstep, etc. IT would be uploaded via mp3. People could make their own anthem.

The anthem could be used in different ways, I can't even fathom at the moment because I need sleep.

Why?

Because 1. MP3s take up a LOT of space. Good quality MP3s add up (example: I have almost 2500 songs, which take up almost 17GB), and 2. copyright infringement issues.

If you want to have a national anthem, use your factbook and link to the YouTube video or something. I highly doubt the admins will allow you to upload MP3s anytime soon, if ever.

I'm making one, when I'm finished the music score will be uploaded in my factbook as an image, and so will the lyrics.

You forgot #3. All the people who change their flags every three days would now be changing songs every week or two. Can you imagine the server load when some new lolcat stupidsong what ever becomes a hit on the internet and a million users all jump to link upload a copy?

Couldn't we just allow links on streaming sites, like youtube?

You could always make a link that already starts http://www.youtube.com/ so people can't enter banned porno or racist links.

Providing a link to youtube content which is illegal is not illegal on the part of the website.

you could have a rule making it so that the anthem must be original.
