Adult adverts

I have been informed by one of my fellow players about an advertisement that appeared on your site that has sexual content. The advert concerned is for the Wartune MMORPG. Further research via Google Images suggest that the game is for adults only, and hence I have to report this advert for falling foul of the PG-13 rule.

I don't think seeing the ads is the issue, rather, that the ad is not appropriate for the site because of the content.

Yeah, just confirming that I have also seen the Wartune ad, and said ad specifically touts that it is 'unrated.' Haven't had a chance to research it, but was gonna flag it myself if you guys hadn't beat me to it. Next time I spot [violet], I'll make sure she sees this so it can be dealt with.

If you're talking about the ads where they claim Wartune's rated AO, that got them in trouble with the ESRB about a month or so ago, for unauthorised use of the rating box and 'making a spectacle of the rating' that it never earned.

I'm getting bombarded by these things too. For me it's "Wartune" and "Tynon." The ads themselves are NSFW already, and the games themselves have adult content.

The Google ads stuff isn't connected to NS moderation tools in any way, shape, or form. Far as I'm aware, only Max and [violet] have the keys to get into that. Game mods (even senior ones/forum admin ones) can't do crap about the ads.

I've also noticed an ad for another game that uses a similar catchline (something like "Warning: Once you start playing, your friends will never see you again"). I don't see it as 18+, but it could be the same advertiser.

Has anyone heard of the fishermen and the starfish? It's a true story:

Fearing that the starfish in a lake would threaten the reefs and it's population, it was decided to kill off the starfish by cutting off their points and throwing them back into the water. The problem was that starfish regenerate lost limbs, and the result was an explosion in population, which made things worse than it was.

The same goes for these ads. Just after they were "smitten" they came on my page. As it's been said, banning the specific accounts won't work. Isn't it possible for Mr. Barry and "Violet" to ban all possibly pornographic and adult rated material in general according to their 'rating' and content?

Correct me if I'm wrong, and I don't intend to impersonate or give the advice of a moderator or administrator, but I'd think if that were an option, it's already been done. What seems to be happening is these advertisers create multiple accounts to dodge that 18+ protection.
