TG system Bug Reports

Postby Frisbeeteria » Tue Feb 05, 2013 6:32 pm

The new TG system is going live as we speak. This thread is for bug reports, and bug reports only!

Please explore your new telegram box carefully before reporting something as a bug. You may not realize how things work yet!

Please read over existing entries before posting a new bug. There is no need for "Me too" posts.

No spamming. No complaints. Just bugs.

Yes, the thread went live when [violet] told me she was taking it live. Give it a few minutes, please.

So, if your skin is set to antiquity, the telegrams show up like they used to, regardless of choosing the expansion option or not. Perhaps that is intentional so old fogies can remember the good old days?

How do I mass TG my whole region? (Founder).

Edit: Read the bold. :)

Would it be possible to make it such that if we hit "in reply to", it shows up on the same screen, and doesn't take us to a new page?

Not directly related to the telegram system; but this was caused when the new buttons for it were implemented about an hour or so ago - the forum views for RMBs haven't received them. Is this intentional?

It already works that way when you Expand the TG by clicking in the white space.

When I type on the site (not forum) it moves really really slow. It's not normal so I thought I would report it, may just be me though.

Not on me at least. Mahaj was saying that clicking 'in reply to' brings you to a new page. Clicking on the white space does nothing for me.

Yes, but it doesn't show what you sent. And when you hit that, it takes you to a new page.

Mine keeps saying I have one telegram, despite clicking on it and then deleting it afterward. I don't know if that's a bug or not.

Check the dropdown at the top of the telegram page for "Archives".

Saved TGs from the old system are automatically placed in your new "Archive" folder.

I think yours are there, but let me know if not.

When you manually collapse a telegram, the highlight stays after you've clicked, requiring a click elsewhere on the page for it to disappear. Shouldn't it disappear after you move your cursor?

Certainly sounds like it... can you describe exactly what you're doing? There are a couple different ways to delete a TG.

Does it only happen with this one TG, or all TGs? You can send yourself a TG to test.

Also please let me know which browser & theme you use.

It's actually like that to aid keyboard navigation. (You can use the arrow keys to move up and down the list, and the spacebar to open/close them.)

Ah, I see! Would this be unintentional, though?

My sent items folder seems to show whatever random TG it wants, it doesn't seem to remember the ones I sent, say, 4 days ago but does remember one I sent 61 days ago.
