Seeing as I can't find it anywhere (I may just be blind, or something.), could one of our omniscient moderators please explain the "rank/custom titles" below our names on the forum, please?

It's bugging me.

I was wondering about that too. Bit I know it doesn't depend on the number of posts since I saw a 2 secretaries with posts 2 and 40, and I also saw 2 lobbyists with posts 11 and 16. As you can see, the number of posts overlap, meaning it doesn't depend on your posts.

I know I'm not a moderator, I just wanted to rule number of posts out.

Because I've been a "Envoy" for a little while.

It's a total post count, I think. I believe you stop being an "Envoy" after breaking through about 350 posts. You're close!

We're going to run ourselves in circles trying to figure out what governs what on this custom title thing.

There is? Can you explain what you mean? I just checked the user list. When it sorts by post count, you see that there it is bound by post count.

It goes about like this:

0-1 post = Civilian.
2-5 posts = Political Columnist
6-10 posts = Civil Servant
11-25 posts = Lobbyist
26-40 posts = Secretary
41-65 posts = Bureaucrat
66-99 posts = Attache
100-199 posts = Spokesperson
200-330 posts (or about so) = Envoy
397-500 = Charge D'Affaires
500 and onwards = Diplomat.

And yes I actually looked through the member list to figure it out.

I must have mistaken 26 as a 2. Sorry.

Of course there is. Mind, it doesn't necessarily clock in at 600 posts. It could be up there at 1,000.

Well, I'm not sure, now. How would you define a II-er? Because I know that Allanea post a lot in General, as well. And it seems that some of the other top in several other sub-forums, as well.

200-330 posts (or about so) = Envoy
397-500 = Charge D'Affaires

My guess would be 350 since they're round numbers.

We already had a thread about this and the only thing that the mods said was that there are no custom titles. Everything else is information we glean through observation, like the list posted above.
