I have been attempting to develop my own offsite forum for some time, however a dilemma has come into mind.

I love the BBCoding used by the NationStates forum, so I was wondering if it were feasible for a site administration to telegram or send me a file containing the codes.

Such as the alignment codes per example.

By viewing the source of pages that contain posts that contain the tags you like, you can get a good idea of exactly what is happening.
If you don't know how to do so, it probably isn't a good idea to start up a full forum with those features.

Most prebuilt forums (phpBB, to name but one) come with lots of BBcode already in place.

I think they're asking "how do you build it" rather than "how do you use it".

I solved the alignment issue, however the other problems remain for:

I'd suggest searching around. There are tutorials for just about everything on that list. If you familiarize yourself with HTML, it should be fairly obvious how to do others, too.

Floatright and Floatleft have the float: right; and float: left; CSS rules, respectively. Just add margin: 75px; to the blocktext tag, not sure about code, the [ list ] tag would be <ul>...</ul>, if it was [ list = 1 ], then it would be <ol>...</ol>, not sure about the other types of lists. the [*]...[/*] would be <li>...</li>, strike is the text-decoration: strike; CSS rule I think, background could be from [ background={COLOR}]...[/ background ] to <span style="background: {COLOR};">...</span>, and color would be the same way. Just check w3schools fi you need help on any of the html.
