Apparently my nations are matriarchies...

Postby Maleperduys » Mon Apr 16, 2012 2:40 pm

I've got a weird bug to report: for the last two weeks or so, I've had nothing but female names "randomly" selected for my nation's issues. I know there's a fifty-fifty chance of getting a female name anyway, but this has been going on long enough to not be a coincicidence. It's affected my puppet nation Dead Mans Hand, as well. I've allowed my issues to back up on both nations, so you can see the names.

It's a minor thing, it's just...weird.

Maleperduys is my (bad) attempt at portraying the mystical side of Canada.

Checking a bunch of my own nations which have many issues stored. Yes, I notice this too.

I can only presume the names were changed to female-only for April 1st, and someone forgot to change them back on April 2nd.

Also confirming this. Currently got the supreme court nomination issue. 6 different female names generated.

We have female and male randomname macros now, could have something to do with it. I think Sedge has been sprinkling them into earlier issues. When in doubt, blame Sedge.

On top of female-only names: in the past, refreshing the issue on my browser would regenerate the names. It doesn't now, for whatever reason, on multiple browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and yes, I even exposed my computer to death because I went on IE to check).

[violet] changed it a while back so refreshing the page doesn't change the @@RANDOMNAME@@.

I thought this was just Max reverse-discriminating. Wouldn't put it past him.

My latest issue has one male name. The other 3 are female.
