Featured Region

How is the featured region selected? If it's random, then a whole series of coincidences have happened. If not, then how is it selected?

Randomly, among regions with at least five members and no password (and are not class regions).

School classes can register a region on nationstates (somehow). And this usually means the people in that class all move to that region and telegraming those nations and entering the region is usually prohibited so they can conduct their class in peace.

I personally would love to have a NS class... :P

And the "only one WA nation per computer" rule isn't applied, but the class's teacher is responsible for ensuring that there's only one WA nation per player involved.
