One of the good things about php BB is that it can be set up with a variety of styles for the forum member to chose from ( should the forum admins decide to allow that )

These are from the phpBB site, and are tested before being allowed out of the think shop.

Here's a few that I think might be nice to offer:

Pro-Night

Rainbow Pearl nicely intense.

Hermes

Well, first priority is making sure the thing even works under normal operating conditions. Once that's done, making it pretty and adding all the bells and whistles like user-selected styles are somewhere in the works XD

The current style is quite heavily modified, to integrate with the game, and an out-of-the-box style won't work without similar modification.

If we can find something that's a simpler code change of just a color, I'd vote for one where silver was dominant and green was the accent color. But I don't think people should have all sorts of color schemes. This is a NS forum, the colors should be NS colors.

There needs to be some modification to the theme though. There isn't enough of a concrete division between posts, so it makes it difficult to tell when there is a new post starting. The text is also too far indented.

Kryozerkia if this particular edit from this post was made it would do what you wanted:
