Great idea, and add everything else like tag buttons to make life easier for those who don't know how to do that. In fact, I'm surprised admin haven't done this already.

These dingbats, they came with Office. It may not work for those without office or windows but it may be feasible to enable smilies if the telegram system comes to be upgraded in future. Again, worthy of an addition to the big list.

mrph, it was and is too early to worry about that, but yes.

The ASCII smilies do work on Linux, and no, I will never write code to put graphical smilies in telegrams. They are a plague to be destroyed, and I will CRUSH them.

Well, smilies are a bit of a nuisance when it comes to the forums. I doubt it would be a good idea to enable them in the telegrams. Maybe try a 1 day trial and see what NSG thinks?
