Hit Harder on Dismissed Issues

Postby Jedi Women » Thu Aug 27, 2009 4:01 pm

I don't know if this would even be possible, but it's something I've been thinking about.

Obviously we get issues back around every so often, but is there any way/ does anyone think it would be a good idea if when a nation dismisses an issue rather than making a choice, a more extreme version of the issue comes to them a month or so later.

Like, say people were protesting eating the national animal and rather than choose the "let continue" or "ban eating *national animal* " options, they just dismiss. A month or so later a more violent incident occurs related to the dismissed issue.

Don't know if such a thing would even be workable, and obviously not every issue could be expanded on... but I just thought it'd be interesting.

Hmm. I can see how some of the issues I've dismissed recently could benefit from this... it's an intriguing idea. We'll see what the mods say, though.

I seem to have forgotten to post the part where my ambassador informs New Olwe's representative that we will help. I'll do that later, I hope. - Fortareata

A good idea, but I doubt it would happen :meh: ... Not because it's a bad idea, but because it would be really diffficult to do that.

I'm reasonably certain the game doesn't keep track of your dismissal of issues. So at this point in time such a suggestion would be impossible. But of course I could be wrong or [violet] or Pyth could be generous and add that feature in so that Sirocco could take advantage of it.

:D yays i would like that feature. I thought of one also. If you dismiss the "Less dictatorship please, if thats okay" issue then later there are riots and stuff.

I'm afraid this idea's a bit unworkable. What's to stop you from constantly dismissing issues you don't like? And if you can't dismiss the second issue then it rather negates the point of having a dismiss option for the first one. It's a nice idea, but I'd rather have issues that directly address the consequences of choices that the players DO make rather than the ones they don't.
