Second, though I know this may not be done anytime soon, I'd like to request that the population limit be raised to at least ~850m, and the time frame be reduced to ~3 years, as there's a particular nation name I want and this change would let me have it. I won't nag, but I know that if no one requests the change it won't be done.

A: If the release goes well, we might look at loosening the restrictions in the future to make nations with slightly larger populations or more recent CTE dates available. But that's something to consider later.

I don't think the Graveyard should say when a nation name will be available, but simply rather if it applies to the release or not.

Reason being is that people who have no responsibilities have a clear advantage. Also it would be more fun if people had to constantly do registration tests to see if the nation is available yet.

Do they qualify as "custom fields" rather than "nation names"? If so, would it be possible to change the code enough to allow us to include non-Latin characters in them (once they're editable)?

Then the good names would go to whoever sat there pressing F5 the most obsessively. Or, more likely, people writing scripts to hit the server every 60 seconds per name to check its availability.

Now that we are thinking of adding non-latin characters into nation names, how do you know they wont just rip off current nations with alternate symbols? Could we prevent this from happening?
