Auto Prune Lock

Postby Guernseyland » Tue Sep 06, 2011 5:50 pm

I have a new feature idea - Auto Prune Lock.
A moderator or admin can put a lock on popular threads in F7 (Create your own story, Flaming Wombat, etc.) to stop them from autopruning. A lot of people would be mad if the Wombat disapeared.

Given how the Wombat keeps getting posted in, it's highly doubtful that it would ever go 7 days without a post and disapear.

Do locked topics in F7 even get autopruned?

Yes. It's probably a reason why they get locked (So no one can save a bad thread or something other from autoprune)

Yes, but popular other posts have inactive patches.

If they're actually popular, they'll have at least 1 post per 7 days.

Hey, this reminds me. I've seen some mods/people say that the autoprune rate at 5 days...but others are saying 7 days...Can someone clarify that?

7 days, or so said Reppy when it was first set up and I honestly don't remember her ever stating otherwise.

As for inactive threads, you guys CAN request archiving threads. Really. It'll save them from the autoprune.
