WA repeals lookin' kinda funny

Postby Inflatable Gandalfs » Thu Aug 13, 2009 10:12 am

Example from the Proposal List:

Repeal "Restrictions on Child Labor" wrote:Description: WA General Assembly Resolution #4: Restrictions on Child Labor (Category: Human Rights; Strength: Strong) shall be struck out and rendered null and void. Argument: My fellow WA nations:
Understanding that certain conditions are damaging to a child's health, realize that a child from 6-15 often wants/needs a form of currency avaliable.
I therefore propose to repeal this act, so that children all over the WA world may earn, and use, the money they desire.

Approvals: 4 (Old Zertaxia, NewTexas, DiCinnoa, FASTERCAT)

Status: Lacking Support (requires 47 more approvals)

Voting Ends: in 2 days, 10 hours

There used to be a line break between the "Description" and "Argument" sections. Can we have it back?
I rest my case. Nurse! My medication!

I'm sorry to be a nuisance, but I've only really started posting on this forum in the last week.

How exactly do you go about trying to get a resolution repealed?

I've tried searching and searching through loads of threads and the FAQs and stuff but STILL can't seem to work it out.

I'd be very grateful if you could help me, please.

Thanks

Go to the World Assembly page by clicking on it in the sidebar of your nation page. There you'll see the Resolution At Vote; under that there's the Last Decision listed, and at the end of that paragraph in small green lettering is a list of Past World Assembly Resolutions. It's a clickable link.

Click the link, go to the list of proposals and scroll through till you find the one you want to repeal. At the bottom of it, in (again, small, green lettering) is Repeal this Resolution. (It's not on Resolution #1, but it is on the rest.) Click on that, scroll down, and you'll find a text box that invites, "Make your argument for repealing (whatever the resolution's name is; the game fills in the name for you)".

Once you've got that right, click the "Submit" button and you're on track. But make sure you read the Proposal Rules about repeals: no new legislation, and don't try to float a repeal purely on national sovereignty.
