Removing the NationStates sidebar

For those on low-res screens, you can now remove the NationStates sidebar from the forums:

User Control Panel -> Board Preferences -> Edit Display Options -> Display NationStates sidebar

I love it. Just one thing...

This and this were the screenshots I took before - one on normal zoom, one zoomed out to show the page. Now, without the sidebar, I can view a nice wide page, like this. However, if I go back to normal size, the page is still too wide!

As much as I hate to keep requesting things, could we have a reversed version of the forum theme, with all the avatars and usernames on the right? Or could the forum not have a minimum width of about 1024 pixels? Understandable if not, of course, as I'm a rather small segment of the NS population.

Heh, the forum default is actually avatars on the right, but the early testers howled until I moved them left.

I'll have a look at that fixed minimum width though. I think it was like that because of the banner ad -- you get in trouble with Google if you serve ads that are off the page. But I may have fixed that now.

Fixed now. There's still an issue with low-resolutions causing the profile boxes (flag avatar + author name) to slip below post content, but it at least fits on your screen.

Whoops, spoke too soon. It's better but not fixed completely.

Now fixed, but may require a browser refresh/reload.

Also I just messed up sig display; about to fix that.

Okay! The forum should now display well at low resolutions.

Please report any problems, although try a browser refresh/reload/F5 first.
