It was under some old Chinese take-out and pizza boxes. The maid found it. We should probably clean things up a bit more often.

The event should've been announced 3-4 days ago. What's going on?

Now this leaves me wondering - was this always the plan or did The Power That Is unintentionally screw up on 29/08?

You are permitted to use multiple nations, but the more you use, the more annoying the anti-bot checks will become.

Can anyone clarify if this rule affects players that only use one nation at a time (i.e. enrolling a nation to take the place of a destroyed one)?

We'll probably be able to confirm that a day or two after the event ends, based on your experience. It's not so much a rule as it is something in the code. You'll find out when it happens, just like the rest of us.

Hello,

I have just learned of the N-Day event, which I think my students will be quite excited about. However, I'm not sure I quite understand how the process would go.

Can multiple officers in our region create different Factions? I think they would like to be competing with each other rather than in the larger world, especially since they are in a class region.

Thanks.

Each region can make one faction. I'm not sure if members of a faction can attack one another (though I know from painful experience that we can block each others nukes.)

I think they can (actually, I don't recall there being anything against the same officer creating multiple factions, other than it being a bad idea), however...

There is no way to guarantee this. While you can try to avoid picking fights with other regions, there is nothing preventing other regions from picking fights with you.

Nope, much better. You get a real apocalyptic world instead... but only for 24 hours, then everybody's radiation is cleared and you're safe for another year. ;)

Since you can join factions other than the one your region is a part of, they could create a couple other regions and just have people join the faction of their choice. The downside is they can still be targeted externally.

This also brings up the question of, could we open up N-day mechanics for internal regional conflict, under control of the founder/delegate? Something like that could be fun.

Would just like to point out that bot checks are now impossible to work with using internet explorer and screen reading software. Internet explorer is the easiest and fastest browser with this sort of software.

If you have a valid reason for having trouble with botchecks (besides being a bot), then you can file a GHR to receive an exemption.

For every single one of my puppets? I like to use around 40 puppets on n-day.

Might as well send the GHR and ask them, I suppose. List the puppets you want to request an exemption for and explain your reason, and hear what they have to say.

Just want to say, depending on the difficulty the recaptcha has with multiple nations there shouldn't be a significant advantage given to impaired users. I'm hoping for literally every N day action once over 10, and scaling down to near 0 for a single nation who only does something once every few hours. In that case, something like 1.5 * max penalty should be the max of unthrottled nations given, so that there is no disadvantage, but the advantage given isn't gamebreaking.

Personally, my reading had just been that there are anti-bot checks, and so like always people using a bunch of nations are more likely to run into them as a matter of course.

I guess it was me just hoping they'd be made far more annoying. If it's the same as last year I don't have an issue with impaired users having unlimited nations exempted (although will suck for the mods applying it)
