The difference is the effect line, which may mention either "newspapers" or "focus groups", presumably depending on whether the government controls all media. I still need confirmation in which is which.Arceus Domains wrote:#302: Reported options are 2, 3, 4 and 5. I know nothing about the validity for first option.
These have been reported.Arceus Domains wrote:#583: Reported options are 1, 4 and 5. The second option could be a no-prisons variant for option 1, while the 3rd option is unclear.
Hmm, strange. I would have thought that a pretty clear "legalize gay marriage" argument for nations that don't currently have it.Arceus Domains wrote:#032 needs a check at option 3, it could be available to nations that haven't banned homosexuality.
Another strange one. I think restricting this to communist nations wouldn't make sense.Arceus Domains wrote:#202 needs a check at option 4. I didn't get it with a nation with private industry (as it was reported). The actual economic stats for that puppet are: 40% private industry, 1.3% state-owned industry 50% government, and 7.9% black market. I think this option is either for nations without state-owned industry or for communist nations (as it asks to privatize the military).
Or just that haven't banned computers / the internet.Arceus Domains wrote:#343 needs a check at option 3. It could be only given to nations with high Scientific Advancement.
No, I'm pretty sure everyone gets option 3.Arceus Domains wrote:#518 needs a check at option 2, as I'm pretty sure it's only available to capitalist nations. while the 3rd option could be the communist variant.
Hmm, so you're no longer abolishing schools and forcing all kids to be home-schooled, just the unruly ones. I'm very interested in the effect line for that.Arceus Domains wrote:Please take a look at Issue #064. Here's the new text for option 4:4. “Why don’t we just kick these unruly kids out, and force parents to home-school them?” asks Dorothy Amin, education coordinator for the @@NAME@@ First Omnimenical Church. “That way parents can stress the values they want their kids to have and give them the attention they need.”

Might be another one from having state-controlled media.Arceus Domains wrote:I have received Issue #366 with the following text for option 2 (it was the third choice, as for the source code). I think this Issue has been modified (which could mean that reported options are 1, 2 and 4). Take a look at it, as I can't confirm its validity:3. “It is the right of all citizens to express themselves in any way they chose,” claims free speech advocate Sierra Cullen while wearing a t-shirt that calls you a rather crude obscenity. “People should be free to dress in any uniform without fear of reprisal or punishment - and that includes wearing a uniform of the @@DEMONYMADJECTIVEINITIALS@@AF. What better way to display to the world one’s patriotism! And if you happen to get more respect or some discounts because of it, all the better. If that argument doesn’t persuade you, then maybe you should ask the Vice Admiral how he won those medals. You can bet your bottom @@CURRENCY@@ that if you criminalise this, concerned citizens will start asking serving officers that question. Do you want the military to have another public relations disaster?”
What's the difference, other than the name being random?Arceus Domains wrote:Issue #448 has been either modified or reported wrongly. Text for option 5 looks like this:

3. "You're not just a memory - you're our future," chimes in t-shirt aficionado and head of State Social Media @@RANDOMNAME@@. "@@NAME@@ doesn't need to be reminded of its past! Surprisingly enough, the effect line for this doesn't poke fun at the implications on holidays that happen to fall on the first day of the month.Matineria wrote:1."This is ludicrous!" shouts one unhappy young adult who somehow managed to stroll into your office, waving around a "New Year's Sale" advertisement that was issued in the month of September. Pro: Regulations, Military, Law and Order
Anti: Freedom of speech, Discrimination, CHEWING GUM
Just so you know, I don't think like that. That stuff is roleplaying Singapore (itself, the real life nation)
