Violet's response will be that the notification system is due an overhaul alongside the eventual forum replacement, and that therefore she's not going to make changes to notifications prior to that, particularly for relatively minor matters like this.

It's the same reason the WA compliance TGs aren't being changed to notifications.

Glad I got my 30 issues in, ten of which will all be in the top ten.

But in all seriousness, good luck to all who entered. Looking forward to see some good new drafts.

As a matter of interest, how many submissions were there?

I'd call it somewhere in the vicinity of 250 entries received.

Jezus… that's a lot. How are you gonna choose between that many?

There's around 3,000 issues submissions per year that Editors review, so... "the normal way".

Has we considered a winner yet. Or was there more then I thought and y'all are still doing the reviewing stage?

We have our winners! Check out that flashy news post!

Presented in alphabetical order by author, the winners are:

----------

Please join the Issue Editing team in congratulating all of our winning entrants! From a field of nearly 250, these ten rose to the top. What's more, for six of these authors this will be their first ever published issue! What a great showing by some new talent, joining the ranks of four previous contest-winning veterans. Great work all around - you can look forward to seeing these issues starting to enter the game soon!

It's an honour just to be nominated!

But in all seriousness, hats off to all. There were some great issues!

Congratulations to the winners.

I have a question, are the winning issues already in game? And if they're not, when might they be?

Not yet. The last two years, they've all been published by early November, so keep your eyes out for the next two months.

Blue is a Part of the Rainbow Too - which was the original name of Daarwyrth's contest draft - appears to have been published as "God Save The Queens" instead. (It appears to have been submitted as GSTQ, nor BIAPOTRT, in the first instance.) I am surprised that the correct name of this issue was not given by Verdant Haven when the issue contest winners' announcement was released.

Maybe they decided to change it during editing, which could had come after the announcement was made? The immediate assumption that Verdant Haven would give the incorrect title of the issue while being aware of its new one is absurd.

Plus, ‘The One-Trick Pony’ and ‘Known Unknowns’ from 2020’s and 2021’s contests (plus ‘Bombshell for @@LEADER@@‘ and a few others) all were retitled after the announcement.

Edit: The title of the thread was changed to God Save The Queens, when it was submitted it was under the original title. As you can see the thread OP a was changed a few days ago.

The original title was indeed "Blue Is A Part Of The Rainbow Too", however, to reflect the title change and to make it more easy for people to find the thread should they want to, I changed the title of the thread to reflect the change.

Personally, I have nothing against the title change and I absolutely love "God Save The Queens" :)
