Requirement: Permanent marriages
Widowed?
After enforced permanent marriage was mandated by the government, many widows and widowers have come to the government to legalize it once their partner is deceased.
1. "I was only 23 when my partner died in that car crash, we were married for only 6 months!" sobs influencer and human rights activist @@RANDOMNAME@@ over @@HIS_1@@ WhoTube stream. "I found another one I found out I really loved and we've been a couple for 5 years, but we legally can't get engaged because of government regulations! Legalize remarrying if the spouse of anyone is deceased!"
People who dislike their spouses usually kill them.
2. "That's not all," implies former gold digger @@RANDOMNAME@@ who climbed up to your window to witness you watching a gaming stream with a stack of bills to pass beside you. "I've been in love with so many people that broke my heart. Please, repeal all those silly laws against divorcing so I can find my true soulmate. Speaking of which, would you like to go out with me? just make sure to get a Ducci or a Luis Vaton bag after each date."
Divorce lawyers are no longer on the streets eating leather off their shoes.
3. "NO, NO, A thousand times NO," says your conservative government minister @@RANDOMNAME@@. "We enforced permanent marriage so that people would choose their soulmate wisely and carefully so that no one would have to divorce. If we legalize it we will have the same problem happening again. We must enforce the ban further." He then smacks the gold digger on the nose, making him fall 5 stories to the ground.
Widows and widowers are forced to sleep with skeletons.
4. "Why should we have marriages in the first place?" says extremely unhappy and single CEO @@RANDOMNAME@@. "Love only distracts people from contributing to the economy. Think of how many work hours I could ask if lovers weren't, I don't know, making love? you know, why don't you not only ban marriages but ban any kind of sexual interaction? as for our workforce, Maybe grow them in vats or something, I don't know."
A lot less people are walking down the street together.
