Several Editors having RL keeping them away from NS means the team has been quieter than usual the last few weeks; as such our focus at present is internal on editing rather than on commenting on drafts.

But if you're desperate for feedback: this issue isn't going anywhere other than the deleted pile. It's based entirely on memeing from a flash in the pan game that won't make any sense to people past their teenage years. Once you take away the Among Us references, there's an uninteresting and somewhat nonsensical issue that doesn't cover any gound that hasn't already been well-trodden in the issues base.

There's one good line in the issue - "decorated with so many medals that the compass on your desk points to @@HIM@@"- which I'd like to see come up again in a different, better draft.

Abandon this one and move on. The writing I've seen from you elsewhere, e.g. in the SC, makes me think you're capable of much better than this if you can get past the memes.

Just to add to what Sedge has said, a good rule of thumb is that if after almost 3 months, 4 pages, and numerous bumps an Editor still hasn't commented on your draft, it's likely (a) awful, and will just get deleted, or (b) too boring to grab our attention, and will just get deleted.

Sedge maybe said it nicer than me, but you know. Gotta keep the advice for all other budding authors real.
