Congratulations to the top ten winners! Out of curiosity, will the shortlist of issues chosen also be known?
In solidarity with Ukraine, I will be censoring the letters Z and V from my signature. This is -ery much so a big change, but it should be a -ery positi-e one. -olodymyr -elensky and A-o- continue to fight for Ukraine while the Russians are still trying to e-entually make their way to Kharki-, -apori-h-hia, and Kry-yi Rih, but that will take time as they are concentrated in areas like Bakhmut, -uledar, and other areas in Donetsk. We will see Shakhtar play in the Europa League but Dynamo Kyi- already got eliminated. Shakhtar managed to play well against Florentino Pere-'s Real Madrid who feature superstars like -inicius, Ben-ema, Car-ajal, and -al-erde. Some prominent Ukrainian players that got big transfers elsewhere include Oleksander -inchenko, Illya -abarnyi, and Mykhailo Mudryk.

I'm honored to have won again, and thanks to editors for putting the contest up and a number of authors who encouraged me to get off my lazy rear end and submit an issue. I would not have done it without all of you.

Congrats to the rest of the top 10 as well!

Congratulations to the other winners, and my thanks to the editors for organizing this contest.

*<hands out vouchers, three to each of the nations in either of those groups: one voucher is good for a three-course meal for up to four people (or more if some of them are youngsters having only "children's portions": there must be at least one adult -- taking "standard" portions -- involved, but each other "standard" place on offer can otherwise be replaced by two for children...), with soft drinks & hot beverages included (within reason); useable in any of several 'quality' restaurants in Council Groves, including the new but already-popular Titicacan restaurant called Casa Don Miguel whose menu triggered the writing of this issue...>*

EDIT: A list of the restaurants already signed-up to this offer is included [IC] with the vouchers. The 'Bears Armed Tourism Agency' will, upon request, inform voucher-holders of any additional possibilities since confirmed. Note that in the case of the most popular & most prestigious establishments concerned (such as "Mother's Goose") it may be necessary to book your tables several days-- or even, if planning to attend on major public holidays, several weeks -- in advance.
EDIT, ALSO: Two of our native 'fast-food' chains, previously excluded from this arrangement because "they aren't fancy enough", are now offering a deal whereby one of these vouchers can be exchanged for two of their own 'special deal' offers: The latter have similar terms, apart from a more limited definition of "within reason" for refills of drinks, but the manager of a particular site chosen is allowed to limit the number of "standard place" seats that can be replaced by "children's place" seats to two -- rather than the otherwise-standard three -- if their establishments' current clientele already includes a high proportion of children... These chains are the fairly new but already very popular 'Pizza /Cake', and the much older -- but largely avoided by foreigners, due to squeamishness -- 'Hot Dog!' which specialises in spicy stews.

Congrats to all the winners!

On a contrary note I remember seeing a post saying that they (the editors) also choose a handful of other issues to be put into the game. If they have have those people already been notified or is there still wrangling over if these could make it into the game.

I don't think anything's a solid 100% guarantee. I'm almost certain one of them will let the author know if they decide to work on that specific issue - although, even this may not always be the case.
You're welcome to telegram me any questions you have of the game. Unless I've CTE'd (ceased to exist) - then you physically can't do that.

There are submissions outside of the winners that may well make it into the game. With the Contest over, the submissions that didn't win are treated as regular issues submissions - i.e. the promising ones are moved to our "Pool" folder for potential editing in the future; others are deleted.

I know in the previous contest I had an issue shortlisted and it got accepted. I also remember the shortlist being published.

I won? I won! :) What a pleasant surprise.

I’d like to thank the editors for going through my submission, and my Information Security professor without whose lectures I’d never have had the idea.

I look forwards to reading the other winning submissions!

Well, now I've returned to reception and can access NS proper, I should post here as well...

Congrats to all the winners/finalists, as well as the other 41 shortlisted authors! It's also great to see a few newer authors (i.e. no published issues yet) make the top 10.

Best of luck to the remaining ~160 authors, too.

That's the top ten. I think they meant the full 41 shortlist of issues.
