Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

So, I’m not really interested in getting Easter eggs, and definitely didn’t customize my puppets fields so they can get one. Yet, the other day, I saw I had a puppet with an Easter egg (the zombie one, iirc). So question: is it possible to get an Easter egg, without actually doing anything?

If it helps, I’ll try to search for the puppet that had one.

Edit: now that I think about it, I recall hearing about one that requires you to CTE, so I’m guessing I got it after I revived it.

I don't think the "Zombie" pretitle/leader/other-custom-field thing is confirmed to work. Unless you're up to CTEing (or have CTE'd previously), I'm not sure there's any guarantee you'll ever get it. :/
I feel you — I've had the "Zombie" pretitle/leader going for ages and have still never gotten anything.

I feel you — I've had the "Zombie" pretitle/leader going for ages and have still never gotten anything.

I think the issue's pretty stubborn, I've revived for almost three months and still haven't got the issue.

and a friend just told me they put zombie in pre-title, and brains in all fields, and that worked for them

To get it, so far there's two different ways that I can confirm. The first is to change every single customizable fields to "Brains"

The second is to change your classification to "Zombie" and everything else to "Brains"

But like I said before, it will take a while for you to get it. I somehow got it in two days, but for my puppets it took over a month. And for another nation it took them 17 days.

that mean to only have a zombie as pre-title. not the zombie nation of fauzjhia.... but the Zombie of Fauzjhia, meanwhile, I expect brains to go in currancy or animals. but I'm going to try only after march.
you use Zombie Zombie NationStates of Authoritaria-Imperia, try just being the Zombie of Authoritaria-Imperia, set your animal/currency to brains

I put brains in the motto, currency and faith custom fields, and zombie in the rest.

Thanks for the info; I'd never heard this before! I'm going to try it: everything "brains" except the pre-title "Zombie". It's just a shame I can't go for the fourth-wall Easter Egg at the same time…

I know you weren't asking me, but I got that one too — I think it was after I switched to being an anarchic-style nation, so the existing theories surrounding crime probably have a point. Try maximising freedoms and stuff — I know I got into the top 1% for crime for a while.

Actually, I don't think I ever claimed that. I said that the reason could either be that a) I embraced the horde during Z-Day OR b) I had "Zombie" in the leader and pretitle fields, because I had both at once and couldn't say for sure which one it was. Seeing evidence from other nations, I'm inclined to think it was the latter indeed.

Ooh, that's interesting. Was the anarchy-style nation also capitalist? I was thinking the fact Giovanniland has low economic freedoms and the socialist policy may be the reason I don't have #256, even though I have high civil and political freedoms along with the requirements cited by the OP (high crime, scientific advancement and the space program policy).

The anarchic nation in question was this one, Authoritaria-Imperia. It was likely capitalist at that time, yeah — capitalist, with high crime/drug use/youth rebelliousness/all that. You can check my nation's stat graphs if you want; the change is pretty clear on a lot of them.

Edit: My economic freedom graph shows that I definitely ditched the socialism policy for an extended period of time.

I have a calc document, in which I register the policy and the easter eggs found by nations.

Maybe you try remembering what custom settings did you use on your nation. and remove the eggs you did not receive from the equation

I never seem to get any eggs, During december Xmas I dressed up as a santa helper and raindeer and had similar names for animals, now even for St. Patrick month I had animals like leprechaun/fairy creatures/disney and Lucky in name. Even dress up in green, all the way down to.. underwear. Nothing.

Thank you for the answer! It seems that I might really have to switch to capitalism and tank a few stats temporarily to get that easter egg, maybe I'll do that once season 3 happens since I want to have a lot of golden badges when the card snapshot is taken.
