[DRAFT] Naked Philanthropy

Postby Sacara » Sun Jan 12, 2020 11:08 pm

Inspired by true events. I could use help on the effect lines for options one and three.
[Name] Naked Philanthropy
[Desc] Following a deadly outbreak of tornados in southern @@NAME@@, an adult film actress Cinnamon Twist fundraised thousands of @@CURRENCYPLURAL@@ to give to the areas in need in exchange for giving those who donated lewd photos of herself.
[validity] adult, allows social media

[option] "It’s absolutely crazy what people are doing nowadays! Where have her @@DEMONYMADJECTIVE@@ morals gone?" rants your conservative father. "Doesn't she realize what she is doing is demeaning to herself? There has got to be other ways to go about this than just selling yourself to complete strangers! Hell, even just giving money straight from the treasury is so much better than what this sick woman is doing. Please, put an end to this to this madness!"
[effect] good intentions don't matter when it gets dirty

[option] "I’m just trying to do my part to help the poor people of @@NAME@@ affected by these awful tragedies, y’all," writes Cinnamon Twist on one of her blog posts. "I don’t like how people are taking trying to spin my actions and make me look like the bad guy! I've had a ton of people contact me already, and I'm sure with more publicity this could raise so much more money! I’m just doing what I can, ya know. Please, @@LEADER@@ if you’re reading this, encourage people to donate to my cause!"
[effect] not all heroes wear clothes

[option] "Have we thought about recruiting this woman to help our own causes?" questions your Finance Minister, sporting a mischievous smile. "I went over our latest revenue report, and it seems like we missed our target goal. Tsk. This, however, has got me thinking: we could get Cinnamon Twist and others in her industry to help support our government by offering those who give us money some of these... pictures. What could be better than supporting your country and having a good time all at once! A major win-win!"
[effect] it’s one’s patriotic duty give their body to the government
The Spacefaring Republic of Sacara,
I tend to hang out in Got Issues? a lot, with the occasional NSG comment.

Humorous issue based on real events I don't need to read about to know!

Effect two is brilliant to be honest, good job. Effect three could maybe be something like "nudes often win political debates"

Why is this an issue? If paid pornography is legal, then this is a legal transaction. Unless the photos are unsolicited, or distributed to children, then that's an issue

Children very well could pay for it with no knowledge of the distributor. I think option one and three make this an issue worth having, but I do agree it might be a little redundant. Maybe include a part where the woman gets removed from the service she initially used to distribute the photos - happened in story this issue is based off.

So the pictures are unsolicited? This could many unintended consequences, included jealous wives

Mmm not quite unsolicited. The pictures are still paid for, but paying for things online anonymously as a minor couldn't be easier.
