Validity: Invalid for nations that don't have poor economies or foreign aid spending (I might do one for richer nations where it is a more localised problem)
Description:After an outbreak of Maxtopian parasitic worms spread uncontested in Maxtopia, the international @@REGION@@ community has asked countries to help stop the spread of the disease. This has led to a meeting in your office over what the @@DEMONYM@@ response should be.
Person 1:A thin man with shocking white hair whom you vaguely recognise as @@RANDOMMALENAME@@, the Director of the @@REGION@@ Health Association and clutching a box of specialised water filters approaches you first. 'Please, @@LEADER@@, don't dismiss the reports of the Maxtopian worms. The country might be a dictatorship and very suspicious of outsiders and its people might get violent with aid workers but this is a massive problem! Yes it might not be happening over here but Maxtopians deserve proper water sanitation and sewage treatment. They haven't done anything wrong, just suffered for too long. We have to alleviate their suffering, for the good of the world!'
Person 2:Your Minister for Realistic Expectations, @@RANDOMMALENAME@@, pushes the Director away while swiping the box of filters. He promptly crushes the box in his fist. 'Look, we shouldn't be asked to pay for sewage treatment facilities and water sanitation programs in Maxtopia! It's not our job! That honour goes to the Maxtopian government! We just need to release a statement condemning the Maxtopian goverment's past crimes and refusing to have anything to do with their ilk!' The man nods triumphantly and walks off.
Person 3:The next person to speak is @@RANDOMFEMALENAME@@, your Minister for Compromises. She moves up looking at the Director and the Minister in turn before turning to you. 'Both these men are a bit excessive don't you think? We can't fork over loads of money to Matopia though we also can't do nothing and leave their people to suffer. I suggest we send them more temporary solutions,' Here, she picks up the now crushed box and takes one of the filters out. The disease can be fought effetively with these filters, distillation of water and even boiling it. We just need to let people know and they can start doing it themselves. Okay, perhaps it will only help in the short-term but we have our own economy to think about.'
Person 4:A shadowy man approaches you last, rubbing his hands together. 'All this talk has got me thinking. What if we gave these people the filters and leaflets on water treatment as normal but then had our agents within Maxtopia destroy their water infrastructure. Look, no one likes the Maxtopian government though I do know a few people around here who aren't opposed to money. We could turn this all in our favour if we get companies to give Maxtopian people effective treatments while making that their only option, we can rake in the cash and no one should be any the wiser,' The man gives you a grin and a shrug. 'What could go wrong?'
